Welcome Attorney Alan Moore!

Alan Moore joined our firm in April of 2025 when he returned to the private practice of law after an 11 year career at a local bank’s trust department.  During his time there, he served as a Trust Officer serving clients in many areas including Trust and Estate Administration  and Planning.  In addition to administrating clients’ trusts and estates, he often advised clients on complex estate and trust matters including asset protection, wealth transfer and complex income and estate tax planning.  Alan also served on the trust committee which handled discretionary decisions of trust and estates and department compliance issues. 

Prior to his time in the trust department, Alan practiced law in the areas of tax law, estate planning and estate administration.  Alan graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration, with a focus in Finance and Accounting.  He then graduated from University of Tennessee College of Law in 2010 and went on to earn his Master of Tax Law from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, in 2011 with a focus on Estate Planning. 

Alan is returning to the practice of law focusing his practice in the areas of estate planning and probate matters while assisting the firm in collaboration with Managing Partner Brad Sagraves in areas of tax matters and business law. 

Alan and his wife are both from the Knoxville area and have three boys that keep them busy.  Alan enjoys coaching them in many sports and if he’s not on the ballfield, then you may find him watching his beloved Vols or even playing basketball or pickleball as long as he is not hurt.  For more information about Alan, please visit https://www.tntaxlaw.com/our-team
